Mitosis

Mitosis is the asexual reproduction of cells. In mitosis has four phases which are prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. Mitosis involves an exact duplicate with an complete set of chromosomes and the seperation of the chromosomes into two identical daughter cells.

   Prophase

Mitoisis begins in this phase. In this phase single sranded chromosomes replicate into double stranded chromosomes.

Metaphase

In the second phase, double stranded chromosomes line up in the middle and are attached to the spindle fibers by centromeres.

Anaphase

In the third phase, the chromosomes split apart and the chromosomes go to their individual sides.

Telophase

This is the final phase of mitosis. In the final phase, the celluar membrane forms around the daughter cells.
